WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?


I book a limited amount of sessions per month to ensure I give families the most personalized luxury experience. Therefore my calendar begins filling months in advance. Upon booking I will  reserve your due date in my calendar, which guarantees your session within the first few weeks of your baby’s arrival—whether they arrive early, late, or right on time. However, if your baby is already here, depending on when booked babies arrive, I may have last minute session availability and would love to accommodate you!

 

WHERE ARE THE SESSIONS HELD & WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?


Newborn sessions are held at my studio located in the west end of Ottawa near the civic hospital. On the day of your session, I will have everything prepared so you can come relax while I create beautiful images of your family. My studio is fully equipped with my curated collection of gowns for mom, newborn outfits, backdrops, props, wraps and suits/gowns for siblings! 

 

 

 

 

HOW OLD SHOULD MY BABY BE FOR THE SESSION?


Newborn sessions are best between 7-22 days after birth to capture those once-in-a-lifetime, precious moments. This is when babies are extra sleepy, making it easier to position them in those sweet newborn poses safely!

 

 

 

How will I receive the photos?


After your newborn session in studio I will send you a proof gallery. Within the proof gallery, you will find all the photos taken throughout the session, watermarked. You will be able to browse through the images and select the ones you would like to include in your final gallery. If you would like more photos than the number included in your package, you have the option to purchase more. Once your selections are made, your chosen images will be professionally edited and delivered in a custom digital gallery for you to treasure forever.

HOW TO BOOK YOUR PACKAGE




To officially book your session, here are your next steps!

  • Respond by email with your chosen package.
  • I will send you an agreement to sign electronically that includes all the details about your session.
  • A retainer payment is due by e-transfer.
  • Once complete, a copy of the signed agreement and proof of retainer payment will be sent to you.

  • Closer to the session date, I will send you a pre-session guide and planning questionnaire, which will help customize the session to you.
